The Call for Residency of Creation and Photographic Experimentation aims to choose eight artists who are proficient in analog photography or processes to work together in a shared workspace for a week from June 4, 2023 to June 11, 2023. The purpose of the residency is to encourage cultural and artistic exchange among the participants and to create a collective project that surpasses the norm.
During the residency, participants will have the opportunity to work with different techniques, methods, and processes of their choosing while also sharing their knowledge, concepts, and procedures with others. The outcome of this collaboration will be an exhibit that will be displayed at the Revela't festival in 2024.
Since the residency coincides with the festival's primary weekend, participants will have the chance to attend the event and experience it independently.
The Call is available to professional and amateur photographers of any nationality, origin, or place of residence, who are 18 years old or older or have their legal guardian's approval. Participants should specialize in chemical photography and be able to work alone or in teams.
The author has the entire year to complete the project, but it must be completed during the festival. The selection of participants will be based on their professional background, interest in the project, compatibility with Revela't resources, and their chosen techniques and potential to contribute to the artistic exchange.
The organization and two coordinators will make the final decision about who is selected. The group's mastery of specific photographic techniques that can benefit everyone will be evaluated.
