XVI Edition of the Photography Festival in Capri 2024 / Call For Entries

The Capri Foundation has been organizing exhibitions featuring prominent photographers since 2009, each of whom has captured and portrayed the island of Capri with their own unique perspective. From Baron von Gloeden to Ferdinando Scianna and Giovanni Gastel, and including Mimmo Jodice, Olivo Barbieri, and Maurizio Galimberti, these artists have deeply explored the spirit of this magical place. They have poetically translated its essence, skillfully rendering its most abstract and complex forms into stunning portraits, striking architecture, and breathtaking views. Now, with a democratic and thoroughly contemporary approach, the Capri Foundation, under the presidency of Gianfranco Morgano, embraces the challenge of a society in constant flux by welcoming a new generation of artists.

OPEN CALL In March 2024, the Capri Foundation launched an open call on its channels inviting all photographers, professionals and amateurs alike, to explore the theme of the Inner Landscape. The goal is to interpret the countless facets that make up the human soul, with particular attention to the realms of intimacy and identity.

RULES AND PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES Photographers from all around the world, both amateurs and professionals, are invited to participate. The open call deadline is Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 11:59 PM. Participants are required to submit a single photographic project related to the theme of the current edition, Inner Landscape, consisting of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 images. At the close of the open call, only one winning project will be selected from among those received. To submit in this section, participants must present their project in a single zip file of up to 10 MB containing a project synopsis of at least 1500 characters and a biography of the author.

The winning project will be exhibited at the Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri starting from September 2024. The production and display of the exhibition are covered by the Capri Foundation.
