In a world where images speak louder than words, the Xposure International Photography Awards stand as a beacon for storytellers with a camera. This celebrated global contest honors the photographers who capture emotion, truth, and perspective through a single frame. It is a space where bold vision meets opportunity—and where stories from every corner of the globe can be seen and celebrated.
Hosted by Xposure, one of the Middle East’s premier photography festivals based in Sharjah, UAE, the awards are free to enter and open to all—whether you’re a hobbyist shooting on your phone or a seasoned professional with a full kit. Photographers are invited to submit work in a range of creative and technical genres: from breathtaking landscapes and urban architecture to intimate portraits, fast-paced sports, night scenes, and even AI-assisted creations. There’s also a Junior category to nurture and spotlight the next generation of image-makers.
Winners in each category—alongside runners-up and nominated finalists—receive not only accolades but also the chance to exhibit their work at the Xposure Festival, in front of a global audience of industry leaders, creatives, and enthusiasts. Selected photographers receive fully funded travel and accommodation, allowing them to engage in a professional community and experience a once-in-a-lifetime creative showcase.
Images go through a two-round evaluation process led by an independent jury of photography experts. In the first stage, judges focus on visual storytelling and emotional impact. In the second, they delve into the technical mastery, composition, and thematic relevance of the photographs.
More than $60,000 in prizes are up for grabs—but the real prize is the platform itself. The Xposure International Photography Awards open doors, elevate careers, and bring unseen stories to the global stage. Whether you're just starting out or well into your photographic journey, this competition is a chance to be seen, heard, and remembered.
