Prizes & Benefits:
Overall Winner: Receive $6,000 (USD), along with flights and accommodation to the Awards Ceremony in Sharjah, UAE. Your work will also be included in the Xposure festival exhibition.
Category Winners: Each category winner will be awarded $3,000 (USD) and will also receive flights and accommodation to the Awards Ceremony in Sharjah. Their work will be showcased in the Xposure festival exhibition.
Category Runner-up: The runner-up in each category will receive $1,500 (USD) and their work will be featured in the Xposure festival exhibition.
Nominees: Selected entries will be part of the online exhibition and have their images displayed during the Xposure Festival.
Competition Entries:
Deadline: Submit your entries by 30th October 2023 at 23:00 GST (Gulf Standard Time, UTC +4).
Nominees will be notified during the week commencing 25th November 2023.
Rules:
Eligibility: The competition is open to all nationalities over the age of 18. There is also a separate Junior Category for residents of the United Arab Emirates under the age of 18. However, employees of Sharjah Government Media Bureau and their affiliates are not eligible to enter the main categories.
How to Enter: For photography categories, submit your images through the XPOSURE AWARDS online platform. Ensure that your images are suitable for public display, printing, and publication in the Xposure Year Book. Follow the guidelines for file format, resolution, and character usage for successful uploads. For the film category, upload your file in MP4 format with specific size and duration requirements.
Submission Guidelines: Images should have a resolution of at least 2,700 pixels on the long dimension and be saved as JPEG files. Films should have a running time between 3 and 20 minutes and a maximum file size of 900MB. Ensure that your entries comply with the stated guidelines for each category.
Originality and Copyright: Entries must be original works of the entrant and should not infringe any copyright or violate intellectual property rights. By entering the contest, you grant permission to the organizers to use and display your photographs or films.
Judging Process: Entries will be evaluated based on artistic merit, technical quality, composition, and adherence to the category theme. The judging process involves multiple rounds and criteria, ensuring a fair and comprehensive assessment.
