The World Water Day Photo Contest is an international celebration of art and environmental consciousness, open to photographers across the globe—from dedicated professionals to passionate amateurs. Rooted in the principles of respect, tolerance, and goodwill toward nature and humanity, the contest was established in 2017 by the Seregno AID Lions Club as part of a cultural and charitable mission. Its purpose is to inspire reflection, raise awareness, and encourage dialogue about the importance of protecting the world’s water resources.

Even in its relatively short existence, the contest has already attracted compelling photographic works that combine extraordinary beauty with significant emotional depth. Many images powerfully expose the threats that endanger water and the people who depend on it, capturing the fragile relationship between humans and their environment. Others, meanwhile, celebrate water’s purity, vigor, and transformative energy, reminding us of its essential role as a source of life and hope.
