The World Water Day Photo Contest is an international artistic initiative open to photographers of every background—whether amateur enthusiasts or seasoned professionals. It is guided by the core values of respect, tolerance, and goodwill toward both nature and humanity. Established in 2017 as a cultural and humanitarian project by the Seregno AID Lions Club, the contest aims to raise awareness and promote global reflection on the importance of water through visual expression.

Despite its relatively young history, the competition has already attracted a remarkable array of photographs distinguished by their breathtaking beauty, emotional intensity, and profound impact. Many of these images expose the urgent threats facing water resources and the communities that rely on them, highlighting the delicate symbiosis between humans and the natural world. At the same time, other submissions celebrate the purity, vitality, and sustaining power that water brings to life.
