The street is constantly changing. People pass one another, stories intersect, gestures appear and disappear, light transforms familiar places, and extraordinary moments emerge without warning. Street photography is the art of being present for those moments—of recognizing something meaningful in the flow of everyday life and preserving it within a single frame.

The World Street Photo Awards invites photographers from around the globe to share their vision of the street. Whether you are a professional photographer, an emerging artist, an amateur enthusiast, or a student developing your visual voice, we welcome images that capture the energy, complexity, humor, beauty, tension, and humanity of life as it happens.

We are looking for photographs that feel alive. Images that are spontaneous, authentic, surprising, and visually compelling. A powerful street photograph might capture a fleeting expression, an unexpected coincidence, a moment of solitude in a crowded place, a humorous interaction, a dramatic play of light and shadow, or a quiet story unfolding almost unnoticed. The subject may be ordinary, but the photographer’s way of seeing can make it unforgettable.

Through the World Street Photo Awards, we aim to discover emerging talent, celebrate distinctive photographic voices, and champion street photography as one of the most immediate and powerful forms of visual storytelling. Winners will receive international exposure and cash prizes, with selected work presented to a global audience of photography lovers, professionals, and industry figures.
