Dreaming of two creative weeks in NYC? Apply for the Women Street Photographers Artist Residency!

  • Where & When? New York City, 29 March–13 April 2026.

  • Send everything by: 7 July 2025.

  • Cost to enter: $50 per project. You can pitch up to three projects (pay separately each time).

What we’re looking forA series of up to ten street-photography images that belong together—same vibe, same story. Your artist statement counts just as much as the photos (yep, 50 / 50), so tell us:

  1. What’s the project about?

  2. Why is this residency a game-changer for you?

  3. Why are you the perfect fit?

How to prep your stuff

  1. Pick 10 photos (any camera or phone is cool, but no AI, composites, watermarks or risqué / violent content).

  2. Shrink ’em to 1200 px longest side, keep each under 1 MB, save as .JPG.

  3. Name files like this: yourname01.jpg, yourname02.jpg, etc.

  4. Drop the 10 files into a folder with your full name ➜ compress into one ZIP (< 20 MB).

  5. Write a PDF: first-person statement + third-person bio.

Need help with resizing or zipping? Google’s got you.

Heads-up: Entry fees are non-refundable, but your contribution keeps this residency alive. Finalists get shout-outs on WSP’s socials and website. Good luck—can’t wait to see your streets!
