The Vital Impacts Environmental Photography Grants are designed to harness the transformative power of visual storytelling to inspire positive change for our planet. Through these grants, we seek to support photographers who are passionate about creating compelling narratives that highlight solutions to environmental challenges.

We are offering one grant of $20,000 and six additional grants of $5,000 each. These funds are dedicated to supporting documentary projects that focus on solution-based environmental narratives. Grant recipients will have the opportunity to develop their projects over a twelve-month period, bringing these crucial stories to life and sharing them with the world.

Beyond the financial support, Vital Impacts will also select ten emerging photographers to participate in an intensive mentorship program. This program is designed to provide guidance and support, helping participants refine their skills and broaden their impact. Additionally, all applicants, regardless of whether they receive a grant, will be invited to participate in an online mentorship series, providing valuable insights and learning opportunities.
