The Sonntag Grant for Photography is proud to announce its very first open call, marking the launch of a new platform dedicated to supporting diverse voices in contemporary photography. For this inaugural edition, the grant will award €3,000 to one outstanding project created by a FLINTA artist (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans, or agender). By focusing on this community of creators, the grant seeks to foster greater visibility, equity, and opportunity within the photographic arts.

This year’s theme is open, allowing artists to explore their vision without restrictions of subject or form. Applications are invited from photographers around the world, embracing all styles and methodologies. Submissions may range from documentary storytelling to staged or conceptual work, from experimental projects to traditional analog practices, or any hybrid approach in between. Both newly conceived projects and works already in progress are eligible for consideration.

Through this grant, Sonntag aims to provide not only financial support but also recognition and encouragement for emerging and established artists alike, affirming the importance of diverse voices in shaping the future of visual culture.
