The New York Portfolio Review is now accepting free applications! Produced by The New York Times photo department, Photoville, and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, the review brings together emerging photographers and top industry professionals.
This year’s 12th annual event will take place on April 26 and 27, 2025. A total of 160 photographers will meet with 80 prominent photo editors, publishers, and curators.
To meet growing demand and enhance accessibility, the 2025 review will offer both in-person and virtual options. The in-person review is set for Saturday, April 26, in New York, while the virtual review will occur on Sunday, April 27, via Zoom. Applicants must choose one format and cannot change their selection after applying.
Open to anyone 18 or older, the event focuses on photojournalism, editorial, and documentary photography, though all forms of work are encouraged to apply.
