Applications are now open for the free New York Portfolio Review, hosted by The New York Times photo department, Photoville, and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
The 12th annual event, scheduled for April 26 and 27, 2025, will connect 160 talented photographers with 80 leading photo editors, publishers, and curators.
To accommodate broader participation, the 2025 review will be held in both in-person and virtual formats. The in-person review will take place in New York on Saturday, April 26, while the virtual review will occur via Zoom on Sunday, April 27. Applicants must choose one format—either in-person or online—and cannot switch once their application is submitted.
Anyone aged 18 or older is eligible to apply. While the event emphasizes photojournalism, editorial, and documentary photography, submissions of all types are welcome.
