The international competition for the best unpublished photobook dummy of the year is the Kassel Dummy Award.
We invite all photographers worldwide to participate in conjunction with The PhotoBookMuseum Cologne and MAS Matbaa, Istanbul. 50 books will be chosen from all entries for a shortlist that will be displayed at international photography events (see list below). The shortlist will be used to choose five winners' books. The PBM/MAS Prize will go to one of these books. In collaboration with The PhotoBookMuseum and the Kasseler Fotografie Festival, the leading Turkish photobook printing and binding company MAS Matbaa will produce and publish the winning book. The entire cost of this will be covered. The other 4 winning books will be get a creation award of 25% for printing their books at MAS Matbaa.
