Artists, take note — The Hopper Prize is officially accepting entries for the Fall 2025 artist grants, and this year’s awards are bigger than ever. For this open call, the grant amounts have been raised to $4,500, giving artists an even greater opportunity to fund their creative projects. In total, two artists will each be awarded $4,500, while four additional artists will each receive $1,000 in support of their ongoing work.

Since its founding, The Hopper Prize has been dedicated to empowering artists by providing not only financial grants, but also the visibility and validation that can elevate a creative career. Their mission is to recognize artists who demonstrate a deep commitment to their craft—those who continually push boundaries and explore new ways of seeing the world.

The Hopper Prize hosts two open calls each year, selecting a fresh group of artists for every cycle. Winners and finalists are chosen for their artistic excellence, innovation, and potential for future growth. There are no restrictions on style, subject, or medium—artists working in any form of visual art are encouraged to apply, whether they specialize in painting, digital art, photography, performance, or interdisciplinary practice.

Beyond the main cash awards, 30 artists will also be shortlisted for special recognition. These artists will be featured in in-depth interviews on The Hopper Prize’s online journal, gaining valuable exposure and a platform to discuss their work and process. They will also receive promotional features through The Hopper Prize’s Instagram, which boasts a thriving community of more than 150,000 followers, connecting their work to a global audience of art enthusiasts, collectors, and curators.
