The Hopper Prize is pleased to announce that submissions are now open for the Fall 2025 artist grants. This year’s open call introduces an exciting update—grant amounts have been increased to $4,500 in recognition of the extraordinary talent and dedication within the contemporary art community. In this cycle, two artists will each be awarded $4,500, while four additional artists will each receive $1,000 in unrestricted grant funding to support the continued development of their creative practice.

Founded with the mission to provide meaningful financial support, visibility, and career-enhancing validation, The Hopper Prize exists to recognize artists who demonstrate a strong, sustained commitment to their craft. The program seeks to empower artists at all stages of their careers by offering both monetary awards and significant opportunities for professional growth and exposure.

Grant submissions are accepted through a bi-annual open call, during which a new group of artists is carefully selected to receive support. Each round of awards highlights artists who exemplify artistic excellence, innovation, and the potential for future achievement. Selections are made solely on the merit of the artwork submitted, ensuring that the process remains fair, inclusive, and focused on artistic quality.
