The Homiens Art Prize offers a compelling opportunity for both emerging and established artists seeking meaningful exposure and professional advancement. As a merit-based and internationally recognized award, it serves as a strategic platform for artists aiming to strengthen their presence within the global art industry.
Open to artists working in all mediums and disciplines, the prize accepts a wide range of submissions, including painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, installation, and audiovisual works. There are no restrictions regarding the date of creation, subject matter, or size, enabling artists to submit work that fully represents their practice.
Each cycle of the competition culminates in the selection of three winners, twelve finalists, and up to two hundred highly commended artists. These selected artists are featured in curated quarterly exhibitions, providing direct exposure to a global audience of art professionals and enthusiasts.
With more than $12,000 USD awarded annually in unrestricted funding, the Homiens Art Prize stands out as a non-acquisitive award, meaning artists retain full ownership of their work. In addition to financial support, the prize is structured to deliver measurable career benefits by connecting participants with key stakeholders, including curators, public institutions, and private collectors.
Participants also gain access to a range of promotional opportunities designed to increase visibility and engagement. These include the Meet the Artists feature, the Promoted Artists program, and The Art of Art: Interviews, an ongoing series dedicated to highlighting the voices and practices of contemporary artists.
