Conceived and orchestrated by the non-profit organization Eyes Wide Open, the cultural production entity affiliated with The Eyes label, in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture and the SAIF, the Eyes Wide Open 1st Photo Book Grant program is tailored for photographers aspiring to present their inaugural book project with the backing of an independent French publisher.

The Eyes Wide Open 1st Photo Book Grant program aims to sponsor three initial book projects, providing financial support of up to €5000 each to the selected photographers and their editors. The program is structured into three categories, each addressing a distinct requirement:

1. SAIF Grant: Geared towards a French photographer or a photographer residing in France.

2. Grant for a Woman Photographer: Open to photographers of any nationality who identify as women.

3. Grant for a Photographer from a Southern Territory: Encompassing territories such as Africa, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

These grants receive backing from the French Ministry of Culture and the SAIF, reinforcing the program's commitment to fostering diverse voices and perspectives in the realm of photography.
