Beauty, as many have long observed, is an elusive and deeply personal experience, one that exists uniquely in the eye of the beholder. While society often dictates standards of attractiveness and artistic merit, urging individuals to conform to widely accepted ideals, true beauty frequently emerges from those who dare to deviate from the norm. Beauty in Decay is a global call for photographers aged 18 and older, encouraging submissions that span the full range of two-dimensional image-making. We welcome both traditional and experimental forms, whether through classical photographic techniques or groundbreaking alternative processes. Whether you work with analog film, digital manipulation, or unconventional materials, your perspective is valuable. As long as the photographic foundation—subjective and expressive—is present, your art has a place in this open call.
