The Boomer Gallery - Vogued: Call For Artists

We’re standing at the crossroads of a revolution in artmaking. Never before has creativity been so accessible—so instantaneous. A thoughtfully crafted prompt or line of code can now generate intricate, multi-layered visuals in seconds. At the same time, artists who work with their hands—through paint, clay, film, and fiber—are innovating with renewed purpose, breathing fresh life into time-honored techniques and traditions.

What happens when these two forces meet? When algorithmic logic collides with human instinct? When automation confronts intuition? This isn’t just a shift in tools; it’s a transformation of values, aesthetics, and authorship. It’s the beginning of something both thrilling and uncertain.

In such a rapidly evolving landscape, artists are not only creators—they’re interpreters, challengers, and visionaries. That’s why this edition of VOGUED is more than an exhibition; it’s a call to respond. To embrace the unfamiliar, question the inevitable, or defend the timeless. We invite you to explore this collision of eras and ideologies through your own creative lens.

We are proud to announce that Mr. Tabish Khan, one of the most influential voices in contemporary art criticism, will join us as Guest of Honour. On August 8th, Mr. Khan will open the exhibition with a keynote talk delving into the exhibition’s theme—offering context, critique, and inspiration for all in attendance.

With a long-standing presence in London's art scene, Tabish Khan is widely respected for his accessible yet insightful commentary. He serves as the visual arts editor at Londonist, contributes regularly to Culture Whisper, and pens "What's Wrong with Art?", a thought-provoking column for FAD. Beyond journalism, his dedication to arts advocacy is evident through his roles as trustee for ArtCan, City & Guilds London Art School, and Discerning Eye.

Whether you work in pixels or pigment, this is your moment to reflect, disrupt, and contribute to the future of art. We can't wait to see what you'll create.
