The Boomer Gallery - Vogued: Call For Artists

We find ourselves in an unprecedented era—one where the very definition of art is being radically transformed. Today, the creative process is no longer confined to traditional tools and techniques. With a simple prompt, complex artworks can be conjured in mere seconds through algorithms and artificial intelligence. Yet, at the same time, artists working in classical forms—painting, sculpture, photography, and beyond—are pushing these traditional methods into bold new territories, reclaiming and reinventing them with urgency and ingenuity.

This moment invites deep reflection: how will these divergent paths—of technological acceleration and time-honored craft—intersect, merge, or diverge? What new forms of expression might emerge from the ongoing dialogue between digital precision and human imperfection? And how will we, as artists, critics, and audiences, redefine our relationship to art in a world where creation itself is constantly shifting?

With so many complex forces at play, it’s natural to feel both inspired and unsettled—to marvel at the pace of innovation while questioning where it will ultimately lead. There may be no clear answers, but these uncertainties offer fertile ground for creativity.

In this special edition of VOGUED, we call upon artists not just to witness this transformation, but to respond to it—through critique, celebration, experimentation, or resistance. We invite you to reflect on this collision of past and future, machine and maker, and to let your work speak to this dynamic moment.

We are honored to welcome the esteemed Mr. Tabish Khan, celebrated art critic and curator, as our Guest of Honour for this edition. A passionate advocate for artistic accessibility and inclusivity, Mr. Khan will open the exhibition on August 8th with a keynote address that explores the theme in depth, offering insight into the currents reshaping the contemporary art landscape.

As the visual arts editor for Londonist, a contributor to Culture Whisper, and the author of the acclaimed column "What’s Wrong with Art?" for FAD, Tabish Khan brings a rare blend of critical rigor and accessibility to his work. His efforts as a trustee for ArtCan, City & Guilds London Art School, and Discerning Eye further reflect his deep commitment to empowering artists and elevating meaningful dialogue in the visual arts.

Join us as we step into the unknown—where questions become canvases, and the future of art is anyone’s to shape.
