Most artists carry with them a persistent inner conversation—one that compares their work to that of their heroes, questions its place in the present moment, and quietly asks whether it is enough. Is this relevant? Is this contemporary? Do I belong here? These questions can feel lonely and overwhelming, sometimes halting the work altogether. But they are not symptoms of weakness. Every artist we now hold up as a master once stood in this same space of uncertainty, creating without certainty, trusting intuition in the absence of approval.
