Get ready—the 2025 Awards judging panel is stacked with star power, visionary talent, and boundary-pushing creatives from across the globe. Heading up the team is none other than Rankin, the trailblazing British photographer, filmmaker, and publisher, who also co-founded the MPA. His eye for innovation and excellence sets the tone for an unforgettable Awards year.
This year’s panel isn’t just big—it’s legendary. Music icon Nile Rodgers joins as a special guest judge, bringing decades of creative mastery and cultural influence. Also weighing in are Joe Keery (aka Djo), the actor-musician best known from Stranger Things and the alt-pop scene; Eric Burton, the electrifying voice behind Black Pumas; world-renowned Dimitri From Paris, whose DJ and production skills have shaped global dance floors; and Julia Cumming, the fearless frontwoman of Sunflower Bean.
On the photography front, the lineup is equally epic. There’s Scarlet Page, whose rock-inspired portraiture speaks for itself; Tom Pallant, twice an MPA Award winner; and Bolade Banjo, a previous MPA nominee known for his powerful visual storytelling. They’re joined by Shot by Nee, a rising star in photography, the iconic Janette Beckman, whose legendary portfolio includes countless music greats, and Simon Wheatley, celebrated for his documentary work and deep cultural insight.
With this lineup, expect the 2025 judging to be fierce, fair, and full of flavor.
