The international photography competition "The House I Live In," organized by TECHO Guatemala, welcomes photographers from around the world to explore the many meanings of home through powerful visual storytelling. Open to both amateur and professional photographers, the competition encourages participants to look beyond the physical structure of a house and reflect on the emotional, cultural, and social significance of the places people call home.

Photography has the unique ability to reveal how housing shapes everyday life, influences personal security, and contributes to a sense of belonging and well-being. Whether documenting intimate family spaces, resilient communities, or deeply personal interpretations of home, participants are invited to create images that spark conversation and encourage viewers to reconsider the meaning of this universal concept.

The competition asks photographers to respond to questions that resonate across cultures and generations: What makes a place feel like home? Where do you truly belong? What importance does housing hold in the lives of individuals and families? Following the submission period, a distinguished jury will select 30 photographs to be featured in the final exhibition, with three winning images receiving the competition's highest honors.
