Organized by TECHO Guatemala, "The House I Live In" is an international photography competition that invites photographers worldwide to examine the meaning of home through authentic and compelling imagery. Open to professionals and amateurs alike, the competition encourages creative interpretations of a concept that is both deeply personal and universally shared.

More than simply documenting buildings or living spaces, the competition seeks photographs that explore how homes influence people's lives, provide safety, foster identity, and create opportunities for families and communities to thrive. Participants are encouraged to capture stories that reveal the emotional, social, and human dimensions of housing, offering fresh perspectives on what it truly means to feel at home.

By asking questions such as What place do you call home?, What does home represent to you?, and How does housing shape the lives of individuals and families?, the competition invites photographers to create meaningful visual narratives that inspire reflection and dialogue. An expert jury will select 30 photographs for inclusion in the final exhibition, while three exceptional entries will be awarded as the competition's overall winners.
