TECHO Guatemala invites photographers of all experience levels, from passionate amateurs to seasoned professionals, to participate in the international photography competition "The House I Live In." This thought-provoking open call encourages participants from around the world to explore one of the most fundamental questions of human life: What does "home" truly mean?

Through the universal language of photography, the competition seeks to inspire reflection on the meaning of house and home, and on the profound ways they shape people's lives, identity, safety, and well-being. Whether interpreted through physical spaces, emotional connections, cultural traditions, or personal memories, participants are encouraged to tell meaningful visual stories that explore where we belong and what makes a place feel like home.

The competition invites photographers to reflect on questions such as: What does it mean to feel at home? Which place do you truly call home? What role does housing play in the life of an individual, a family, or an entire community? An expert jury will carefully review all submissions, selecting 30 outstanding photographs for the final exhibition, while three exceptional works will be recognized as the overall winners.
