The STERN-Preis 2025 – Photo Story of the Year recognizes an exceptional photojournalistic series published in a German-language journalistic medium (newspaper, magazine, or website) in 2024.
The winning project will depict a major event of 2024, a globally or socially significant topic, or a vital aspect of society, presented with a high degree of journalistic acumen and visual excellence.
Only photo stories with at least five images from a magazine, website, or daily or weekly newspaper will be accepted. Single images are not eligible for submission.
This prestigious award celebrates the narrative power and creative execution of socially relevant topics. The STERN-Preis highlights the dedicated work of professional photographers who excel in both journalism and visual storytelling.
Photographers worldwide are welcome to submit, provided their work was published in a German-language journalistic medium during 2024.
