The Alpha Female Award is designed to recognize and empower women photographers across the globe.

The award originates from Sony US's Alpha Female initiative, which aims to offer opportunities to professional creatives in photography, videography, and filmmaking. Through collaboration with the World Photography Organisation, the initiative now extends to a global audience, supporting female photographers in the Sony World Photography Awards Open competition.
