The Drone Photo Awards is a premier international competition dedicated to discovering and celebrating the very best in drone photography. Open to professional, amateur, and student photographers worldwide, the awards provide a global platform for showcasing bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and outstanding aerial imagery.

Each year, submissions are reviewed by an international judging panel made up of acclaimed photographers, editors, and industry experts. With a keen focus on innovation and creativity, the jury seeks images that redefine how we see landscapes, cities, people, and nature from above.

Winners of the main categories receive an exclusive invitation to the highly anticipated AWARDS CEREMONY and GALA, where they compete for the prestigious title of “Photographer of the Year.” Both the overall winner and category winners are honored with the renowned PANGEA PRIZE crystal statuette, one of the most sought-after recognitions in drone photography.

The ceremony takes place in October in the heart of Siena, Italy, at the historic Teatro dei Rinnovati. This spectacular event reveals the “Photographer of the Year” and presents a curated showcase of the most striking award-winning drone photographs.

Alongside the ceremony, the exhibition “Above Us Only Sky” will be hosted in Siena, featuring all Winning and Honorable Mention images. The exhibition offers visitors a unique visual journey, highlighting the beauty, power, and creative possibilities of aerial photography.
