In the twelfth edition of the Revela't Festival of Contemporary Analog Photography, the selected theme is:

"Identity" is a broad concept that can be simplified as the collection of characteristics that define an individual or a group in relation to others.

Let's leave behind the constraints of past social roles and expectations. Today, identity takes shape through various lenses: gender, culture, society, intimacy, and technology intertwine, giving rise to intricate and multifaceted portraits of our being. Identity is fluid, in a constant state of change and reinvention.

We invite you to observe, explore, and depict identity from diverse viewpoints. Picture identity as a canvas in constant evolution, a mosaic of faces and experiences that entwine, diverge, and converge. It's a celebration of diversity and an affirmation of the universal threads that connect us. Our aim is to expand and present this concept from updated perspectives.

Join us on this journey to Revela’t 2024.

The call for exhibition aims to select three projects in the realm of photography or analog processes to be produced (or transported) and showcased at the upcoming Revela't Festival in May and June 2024.

The festival exhibition opportunity includes travel and accommodation support for the winners, international promotion, and networking prospects with fellow professionals in the cultural and specifically photographic sphere.

This call is open to all photographers with an analog project and the ambition, desire, and motivation to share it with the world. Revela't is a platform that welcomes both globally recognized photographers and emerging talents each year, as we believe in the potential of projects and in offering opportunities to authors who are yet to establish a solid trajectory. Revela't represents international exposure at any stage of the author's journey.

All participants, whether selected or not, will have a chance to showcase their work in a digital projection held at the festival's main venue.

About Revela'T: Revela’t Contemporary Analog Photography Festival is the world's first analog festival, taking place annually in Vilassar de Dalt (Barcelona, Spain). The festival spans a month and celebrates analog photography through a market, activities, workshops, portfolio reviews, residencies, and most importantly, exhibitions.

Revela’t is a pivotal event in Spain's cultural landscape, bringing together established artists like Jim Goldberg, Jeff Bridges, Alberto Garcia Alix, Joan Fontcuberta, Deanna Dikeman, Alessandra Sanguinetti, Alexey Titarenko, Vanessa Winship, Luis González Palma, along with emerging talents, some of whom exhibit for the first time.

The festival's welcoming atmosphere ensures that artists are supported throughout the exhibition process. During the Main Weekend, participants gather in person for various activities and encounters, including a brunch with gallerists, curators, editors, and industry professionals, guided tours, media coverage, and conferences. One of Revela't's most valuable aspects is the connections and relationships participants form.

Judging Criteria: An international jury will consider projects with exhibition proposals and contemporary themes - while not mandatory. The work should relate to the edition's theme of "IDENTITY". The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
