Whether it’s AI tools supporting language learning in Malian schools, DIY e-bike batteries built in Indonesian homes, or young people sharing their migration journeys on YouTube, technology is making waves everywhere. Rest of World wants to highlight how tech is impacting your community, country, and life.

Our annual Photography Contest is back, inviting you to submit photos that illustrate technology’s role in your part of the world. Each entry should come with a detailed description, explaining where, when, and what your photograph captures, so we can fully appreciate its significance.

This contest is open to photographers of all skill levels around the globe. Each participant may enter one photo taken within the past two years. Entries close at midnight GMT on November 30, 2024. We’ll feature the top 10 photos on our website, awarding $1,000 to the first-place winner, $750 to the second, and $500 to the third.
