The Pure Street Photography Awards 2026 rise as one of the world’s most revered platforms devoted entirely to street photography—an art form rooted in instinct, humanity, and truth. More than an award, PSP is a philosophy that honours the raw, unpolished moments of life as they unfold in public spaces. The 2026 edition gathers three extraordinary photographic voices whose influence resonates across continents.
Leading the Open Street Photography category is Fiona Shields, Head of Photography at The Guardian. As one of the most respected editorial figures in contemporary photography, Shields brings a deep commitment to visual honesty, narrative power, and the ethical responsibility of the image.
Judging the Black and White Street Photography category is Rui Palha, a master of light, shadow, and silence. His iconic monochrome work reveals the emotional depth of everyday life, transforming fleeting moments into timeless reflections of the human soul.
Joining them as Advisory Judge for both categories is Dimpy Bhalotia—award-winning photographer and creative director—whose curatorial insight and fearless vision have redefined modern street photography. Her guidance ensures that the Awards remain true to their core values of authenticity and purity of seeing.
The Pure Street Photography Awards 2026 stand for something enduring: the belief that truth, when observed with empathy and patience, becomes art. Open to photographers across the globe, PSP invites those who embrace imperfection, who trust timing over technique, and who understand that the most powerful images are felt before they are explained.
This year’s winning and finalist works will be exhibited in Jaipur, Rajasthan—a city steeped in colour, culture, and centuries of history. With its radiant architecture and living traditions, Jaipur becomes a luminous backdrop for a worldwide celebration of human stories captured through the street photographer’s lens.
If you believe that the human eye remains the most sacred instrument of truth, this is your moment—to be witnessed, to be honoured, and to leave a lasting mark.
