Profoto - March Photo Contest: Best use of Light






This is an open invitation to explore your relationship with light. There are no thematic frameworks to respond to and no boundaries to restrict your creativity. The brief is intentionally simple: create an image that demonstrates what you can achieve with your Profoto light.

Think carefully about how light behaves in your hands. Do you favor soft transitions and restrained shadows? Do you construct images around strong contrasts and defined structure? Are your highlights clean and precise, or do you lean toward diffused, natural tonal ranges? Whatever your approach, make the quality of light your central focus. Pay attention to its direction, its texture, and the degree of control you exercise over it.

The result can be quiet and minimal or bold and striking. Complexity is optional; clarity is essential. Let the light be the driving force behind the work. Allow it to shape the atmosphere, reveal the subject, and ultimately define the image itself.
