The foundation of my artistic journey lies in the remarkable women of my family – Virginia, the pianist grandmother; my great-aunt, the painter; and my sculptor mother. Their artistic pursuits ignited my curiosity about art from my earliest childhood, paving the way for my evolution as a photographer and visual artist.
The Prix Virginia stands as a testament to my commitment to recognizing women photographers. It serves as a means of sharing the passions instilled in me by these remarkable women.

Since 2012, The Prix Virginia has been awarded biennially, marking the pioneering photography prize exclusively dedicated to a woman photographer, irrespective of age or nationality. Entrants are required to submit work that has not been exhibited in France and is not the result of an editorial assignment or advertisement commission.
