Trees have long served as symbols of change, endurance, and renewal. From the fresh blossoms of spring to the bare silhouettes of winter, they represent the visible language of seasonal transformation. They are both constant and ever-changing, offering photographers a timeless subject rich in metaphor and natural beauty.
We invite you to submit your photography for Trees and Seasons, a juried exhibition focused on the interplay between trees and the passage of time. This exhibition encourages diverse visual interpretations—from sharp, documentary-style depictions to atmospheric, experimental compositions. Your photographs may capture dramatic seasonal transitions, quiet natural moments, or conceptual reflections on how trees reflect the changing year.
All photographic approaches are welcome, including black and white, color, digital, film, alternative process, abstract, macro, and landscape. Whether you choose to showcase a forest in peak autumn, a single tree in spring bloom, or the skeletal branches of winter, your vision is invited.
Juror Lee Ann White, an accomplished photographer and editor with a professional background in landscape and nature photography, will review all submissions. She will curate a selection of up to 35 photographs to be exhibited in our physical gallery space in Middlebury, Vermont, and an additional 40 images to be showcased in our Online Gallery.
All selected works will be:
Included in a printed exhibition catalog
Archived permanently on our website
Promoted via social media with direct links to the artists’ websites or online portfolios
This is a unique opportunity for photographers to share their work with a broader audience and become part of a thoughtfully curated visual dialogue about trees, nature, and the seasons. Submit your images and be part of a powerful, seasonal celebration of photography and the natural world.
