Trees are silent storytellers. With every budding branch, every falling leaf, and every shift of light across their bark, they chart the rhythms of the natural world. They are both witnesses and participants in the slow unfolding of time—transforming quietly from season to season, marking change with elegance and resilience. From the delicate flush of spring blossoms to the golden flames of autumn foliage, trees speak in a language of transformation and memory.
This juried exhibition, Trees and Seasons, invites photographers to explore the profound connection between trees and the ever-changing cycles of the year. We seek images that observe, celebrate, and honor trees as markers of seasonal transition—from the stark stillness of winter to the exuberant green of summer, and every fleeting moment in between.
All photographic styles and interpretations are welcome. Whether your vision is literal or abstract, wide and panoramic or close and intimate, we want to see how you experience trees across the calendar. Let your images tell the quiet stories of shadow and light, growth and decay, stillness and movement.
We are honored to announce that Lee Ann White, a distinguished photographer and editor with a deep passion for the natural world, will serve as juror for this exhibition. She will carefully select up to 35 images for display at our gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, and an additional 40 images for inclusion in our Online Gallery.
All selected works—75 in total—will be featured in a beautifully designed exhibition catalog, remain permanently on our website, and be actively promoted on our social media platforms with links to each photographer’s personal URL or portfolio.
This is a celebration of trees and time, and of the powerful imagery they inspire. Submit your work and become part of this visual exploration of nature’s seasonal poetry.
