FILLING THE FRAME is a celebration of abundance in photography — of scenes alive with energy, density, and rhythm. We invite photographers to embrace the art of inclusion: to fill every inch of their frame with purpose, to explore the harmony that can exist within complexity, and to find narrative amidst the noise.

This theme calls for layered compositions that pulse with intersecting lines, overlapping shapes, converging subjects, and textures that create visual music. Think of bustling city streets, crowded marketplaces, tangled forests, intricate interiors, or abstract forms that test the limits of balance and perception.

Filling the Frame honors the compositional challenge of finding coherence within chaos — the delicate act of organizing beauty from visual disorder. How far can one push the boundaries of complexity while retaining a sense of unity, elegance, and emotional impact?

We are delighted to welcome Dallas Crow as juror for this exhibition. He will select up to 35 photographs for display in our Middlebury, Vermont Gallery, and an additional 40 works for our Online Gallery. All selected images — 75 in total — will appear in our official exhibition catalog, remain permanently archived on our website, and be shared widely across social media with links to each photographer’s portfolio.
