This open call is addressed to artists and self-publishers worldwide whose practices engage with photography through the book form. The call centers on artist books, self-published photobooks, limited-edition volumes, zines, and DIY publications that use photography as a tool for narrative, experimentation, and critical inquiry.

A curated selection of books will be exhibited at the Photometria Photography Center within the framework of the 18th Photometria International Photography Festival, taking place from 26 September to 29 November 2026. The exhibition will subsequently be presented at ZOETROPE Athens on a date to be announced. In the case of interest from additional regions or hosting institutions, the exhibition may expand further, with updated information provided as plans develop.

Once the exhibition cycle has been completed, the selected publications will be documented and integrated into the public photographic library of the Photometria Photography Center. Prior to their archival inclusion, the festival seeks to maximize the dissemination of these works, emphasizing visibility, engagement, and public access before they are formally catalogued and preserved within the P.P.C. collection.
