The PhotoMonth Open Call invites photographers and lens-based artists from around the world to submit work for this year's edition, "Unity and Community." Curated by Cherelle Sappleton, Tom Hunter, Leah McLaine, and Ishy Pryce-Parchment, the open call explores the many ways photography can reflect, question, and celebrate the relationships that shape communities, identities, and collective experiences.
Building on the success of previous editions, the organisers anticipate receiving a wide range of thoughtful, innovative, and visually compelling submissions from artists working across diverse photographic practices. The open call provides a platform for emerging and established practitioners alike, encouraging projects that engage critically and creatively with the theme while contributing to ongoing conversations within contemporary photography.
Through the vision of its curatorial team, the PhotoMonth Open Call aims to showcase works that demonstrate originality, conceptual depth, and a strong artistic voice, bringing together an inspiring selection of photographers whose perspectives reflect the richness and complexity of communities today.
