PHotoESPAÑA wishes to acknowledge the significant role that the publishing industry plays in promoting photography. Since 1998, it has given out the Best Photography Book of the Year Award with this goal in mind.
The deadline for submitting applications for the XXVI Festival edition is March 30, 2023. All nationalities of authors and publishers of photography books published between April 1, 2022 and March 1, 2023 are eligible to attend.
The registration form found below must be completed in order to participate. The electronic registration form must be printed and sent, along with two copies of each publication in the competition, to the following address after completion of the online registration:
Award for the Year's Best Photography Book C/ Verónica, 13 28014 Madrid, Spain The book reception will continue until April 14, 2022. All submissions received by the call's deadline will be considered. The participant will be required to cover the entire cost of the shipment, which will be delivered to the address specified. The organization won't be liable for any shipping costs and won't get a book with costs to pay for it.
selection of books The final books that will be displayed during the Festival will be chosen by a pre-selection committee comprised of publishing industry professionals. The PHotoESPAA website and social media platforms will publish the list of selected books.
There will be no return of the books chosen for the exhibition. Those who were not chosen can pick them up at the PHotoESPAA offices beginning with the notification of the shortlisted and continuing through May 1, 2023. After that time has passed, the publications will be shipped to cultural centers and libraries, where they will be added to their collections.
