What is real? What is imagined? And where do the two begin to overlap?

Issue #78 invites photographers from around the world to explore these questions through unique, lens-based photographic work. We are looking for projects that transform reality, invent fictional worlds, or weave together elements of both to create captivating visual narratives. Whether subtle or surreal, documentary or conceptual, we are interested in photography that challenges expectations and encourages viewers to see beyond the obvious.

This call is part of our 2026 editorial season, dedicated to highlighting fresh perspectives and contemporary approaches to photography through a series of contrasting themes. For this edition, we seek fine art photography projects that examine the nature of reality, construct imaginative photo-based stories, or create compelling tensions between the factual and the fictional.

We welcome artists whose work demonstrates originality, strong visual storytelling, and creative experimentation. If your photography invites audiences to question perception, memory, fantasy, or truth while remaining rooted in lens-based image making, we would love to see your submission.
