The Nikon Small World Photomicrography Contest (the “Contest”) is open only to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old, or who have reached the legal age of adulthood in their country, state, or place of residence at the time they submit an entry. To be eligible, participants must also have access to an optical microscope, as this is essential for creating qualifying submissions. Not everyone is permitted to enter the Contest. Individuals who are not eligible include: (a) employees of Nikon Instruments Inc., along with employees of its parent companies, affiliates, suppliers, and service agencies, as well as their immediate family members—such as spouses, parents, siblings, and children—and anyone living in the same household; (b) Contest judges, regardless of when they were appointed, together with their immediate family members and household members; and (c) individuals who provide services to Nikon Instruments Inc. or related entities under a contractual arrangement, whether as independent contractors, business owners, or employees of contracted firms. Participation in the Contest and the receipt of any prize are not valid in locations where such activities are prohibited or restricted by applicable laws or regulations.
