The edge of the sea is a place unlike any other. Here, at the boundary where land yields to water, we find a space of transformation—a threshold where motion meets stillness, and raw elemental power blends with delicate tranquility. This liminal landscape is the inspiration for The Coastal Landscape, a juried photography exhibition dedicated to honoring the evocative beauty and emotional resonance of coastlines and waterscapes.

We invite photographers to share their vision of the coast. What speaks to you—the drama of crashing waves or the quiet rhythm of the tide? Is it the interplay of light on wet sand, the rugged textures of rocky cliffs, or the expansive calm of a horizon where sky and sea merge? We’re looking for images that explore the full spectrum of coastal moods and settings. All photographic styles—from the classical to the avant-garde—are encouraged.

Esteemed photographers Alissa and Jacob Hessler will serve as jurors, carefully reviewing submissions to curate a diverse and compelling collection. Up to 35 selected works will be exhibited in our gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, while an additional 40 images will be showcased online. All chosen photographs will be included in a beautifully designed exhibition catalog, archived on our official website, and actively promoted through our social media channels with links to the artists' websites, ensuring continued visibility for each contributor.
