Where the ocean meets the land, a remarkable environment is formed—one that is constantly in flux yet rooted in timeless beauty. This transitional zone, where motion and stillness coexist, has long been a source of inspiration for artists and photographers alike. The Coastal Landscape is a juried photography exhibition designed to showcase the visual diversity and emotional resonance of these unique natural spaces.

We invite photographers to submit work that captures the many facets of coastal environments. From roaring surf and towering cliffs to serene shorelines and reflective tidal flats, we are seeking images that tell a story of place, time, and transformation. All photographic methods are encouraged—whether your work is rooted in traditional landscape photography or explores cutting-edge, conceptual interpretations.

We are honored to have Alissa and Jacob Hessler serve as jurors for this exhibition. Their discerning eyes and deep connection to nature-based art will guide the selection of up to 35 photographs for display at our gallery in Middlebury, Vermont. An additional 40 images will be featured in our Online Gallery. Altogether, 75 photographs will be included in our exhibition catalog, preserved on our website, and promoted across our social media channels, with full credit and direct links to the selected artists’ websites.
