The place where land and water meet is more than just a physical boundary—it is a dynamic, ever-changing space where the forces of nature collide and harmonize. It is at this intersection that movement and stillness coexist, and where strength and serenity are woven together in one captivating scene. The Coastal Landscape is a juried photography exhibition that invites artists to explore and celebrate the rich variety and emotional depth found in coastlines, shorelines, and waterscapes across the globe.

We are calling on photographers to submit work that conveys the essence of coastal environments—be it the thunderous crash of waves against cliffs, the reflective calm of a tidal pool, or the gentle retreat of the tide at dusk. Whether your style leans toward classic black-and-white landscapes or ventures into abstract interpretations using experimental techniques, we welcome all approaches that express the unique spirit of the coast.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s jurors are Alissa and Jacob Hessler, a duo whose deep appreciation for natural landscapes makes them ideally suited to curate this collection. Together, they will select up to 35 images to be displayed in our physical gallery space in Middlebury, Vermont. An additional 40 photographs will be showcased in our Online Gallery, giving a broader platform to exceptional work. All selected photographs—75 in total—will be featured in a professionally produced exhibition catalog, archived on our website, and actively promoted on social media with direct links to each artist’s personal or professional website.
