"Sameness and semblance" is the theme for the 12th PHODAR Biennial Award Competition. The festival's editions are organized around common themes that aim to bring participants' attention to a variety of current social, political, and cultural issues on a global, regional, and individual level. The biblical account of the creation of the world and the dramaturgy of the great Bulgarian writer Yordan Radichkov, who in his eponymous work in the style of absurdism subjects the clamor for more power to those in power to devastating criticism, are both references that are made in this topic.
