Participation is open to photographers who wish to submit one or more projects developed around a specific theme, story, or conceptual investigation. Applicants are encouraged to explore any visual language or photographic approach, whether rooted in traditional practices or driven by experimentation and innovation. Each project must include between 5 and 20 photographs and should present a clear and cohesive artistic vision.

The main grant winners will collectively receive €10,000 in prize money. This total is divided into a €5,000 First Prize, a €2,000 Second Prize, and a €1,000 Third Prize. Additionally, one New Generation Prize will be awarded, granting €2,000 to support emerging talent and future project development.

Selected artists will also gain access to major international exhibition platforms. One awarded project will be showcased in a solo exhibition at PhMuseum Lab in Bologna, Italy, during ArteFiera 2027. This opportunity includes full coverage of exhibition production, travel expenses, and accommodation.

Additional exhibition selections will be made by partner festivals and curators. The PhEST team will select one project for a solo show at the 11th edition of the PhEST festival, scheduled for August 2026 in Monopoli, Italy. Furthermore, Maria Ptqk, Head Curator of Getxophoto, will choose a project to be exhibited during the next edition of the festival in Getxo, Basque Country, Spain, in June 2026. Alongside exhibition production, the selected artist will receive an artist fee of €400 and two nights of accommodation during the Opening Week.
