The 2025 Global Contest seeks to illuminate a truth too often ignored: that climate change is not just an environmental issue, but a profound human one. As our world warms and seas rise, it is people—especially the most vulnerable—who suffer first and most. We invite photographers and storytellers to turn their lenses toward those whose lives are being upended: climate refugees in search of safety, children and elders caught in the crossfire of extreme weather, those living with injuries or disabilities, communities living in poverty, the ancestral stewards of indigenous lands, the isolated voices on fragile islands, and the women who shoulder so much of the world’s burden. But we also ask you to share hope—images of climate defenders, innovators, and communities coming together to fight for a better, greener future. Your art can stir emotion, raise awareness, and inspire action toward climate justice.
