The 2025 Global Contest is an international platform committed to advancing climate justice by bringing visibility to the people most affected by the ongoing climate crisis. At its heart, this contest recognizes that climate change is not just an environmental challenge but a profound human rights issue. We are seeking powerful, evocative images that capture the human side of this global emergency—particularly those whose lives are being disproportionately disrupted. This includes climate refugees forced to flee their homes, the elderly and the very young who are especially vulnerable, people living with disabilities or injuries, economically marginalized communities, indigenous and island populations whose land and heritage are at risk, and women who often bear the brunt of environmental injustice. In addition to documenting these realities, we welcome images that spotlight hope and action—climate advocates, grassroots organizers, and individuals or communities working tirelessly to slow, stop, or reverse climate change. Your images can be a catalyst for awareness, empathy, and change.
