In celebration of 50 years of captivating microscopy, Nikon is calling for entries to the 2025 Small World competitions.
Nikon’s Small World Competition is renowned for spotlighting the breathtaking and complex views of life as seen through the light microscope. Open to all who appreciate the art and science of microscopy, the Photomicrography Competition invites still image entries, while Small World In Motion welcomes videos and time-lapse captures filmed through the microscope.
A total of 20 prizes will be awarded to winners, with first, second, and third prizes valued at $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000, respectively.
With submissions from around the globe, including regions like North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, Nikon’s Small World Competition has, since 1975, become a distinguished event for those dedicated to microscopic photography across scientific fields.
