The Nikon Small World Photomicrography Contest (the “Contest”) is available only to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old, or who have reached the age of legal adulthood in the place where they reside, as of the date they enter the Contest. Participants must also have access to an optical microscope, which is required to create and submit eligible entries. Certain individuals are not permitted to take part in the Contest. These include: (a) employees of Nikon Instruments Inc., its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, suppliers, and service agencies, as well as their immediate family members—defined as spouses, parents, siblings, and children—and anyone living in the same household; (b) Contest judges, regardless of when they were selected or appointed, along with their immediate family and household members; and (c) individuals working under contract with Nikon Instruments Inc. or related entities, whether as independent contractors, business owners, or employees of contracted businesses. The Contest, as well as any prize awarded in connection with it, is void in any jurisdiction where participation or prize distribution is prohibited or limited by law.
